Judges 3-4

Judges is simply chaotic, I think that's sort of the point. They went their own direction, they stopped following the order/teachings that God had given them and their enemies took advantage. Certainly there are bits in this book that are exciting and can spur growth (Deborah comes to mind) but most of Judges reads as a cautionary tale, even the main characters are often suspect and shady.
