Foreshadow

2 Kings 3-4

In today's reading we see a nation divided and dealing with rebellion.

We see water (living?) rise up during the conflict, when the rebels looked upon the water they saw "blood."

The "blood" led to the end of the rebellion.

The man of God goes about doing good and spreading "oil" (Spirit?) about the place.

A miraculous child is born and dies and is raised to life.

The men try to feed themselves with "death" but the man of God adds life.

Bread is used to feed a multitude.

"They will eat and have some left over"

When we are willing and with very little effort I find that we can see Christ everywhere.

I can see foreshadowing of Christ way back here in 2nd Kings. Where are you seeing him this year?
