29 As for the other events of Solomon’s reign, from beginning to end, are they not written in the records of Nathan the prophet, in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam son of Nebat? 2 Chronicles 9:29
Weird that there was important history and texts that the biblical authors valued but we don't have. This one verse mentions several...what I wouldn't give to have the point of view of Nathan the Prophet, that dude saw some stuff! Anyway, for me, while I understand that I can get all I need from God and his word, it's humbling to see things like this verse.
Maybe we are not the coolest, most knowledgeable folks? Maybe we tend to think too highly of our own wisdom and understanding?
